Loss of Face to Face Relationships

Many people who struggle with internet addiction find that it can be difficult to try and maintain their face to face relationships. Whether it’s with friends, family, co-workers, or whoever else that you may encounter regularly, you may find that it’s hard to keep up a conversation in real life. But, you do fine if you’re talking on Facebook messenger or Skype.

Health Problems Related to Lack of Activity

If you’re in front of your computer a lot, or you’re doing things on your phone; chances are, you aren’t moving around a lot. This could relate to a number of health issues, from obesity, to back problems, and pretty much everything in between. If you start to see that your physical health is declining due to your overuse of technology, then you may notice that you’re having a problem with your internet usage.

Mental Health Issues, Like Other Addictions or Anxiety Disorders

Many people find that, if they have an internet addiction, it usually coincides with another type of addiction or mental health struggle. Whether that’s social anxiety, depression, alcohol abuse, or anything in between, you’ll find that internet addiction is just something that could make the situation harder for you to work through.

If so, then you want to be sure that you do some research and look into the things that you need to take care of in order to break free from this addiction.
